Intention:
For the Liberation of all those trapped and enslaved by the the Culture of Sexual immorality
We pray for:
– unmarried couples who are co-habiting together
-millions of men and women trapped by the pervasive pattern of sex outside of marriage
-those who have become addicted to pornography
-those living the homosexual lifestyle
-victims of sexual violence
Reflection:
Many of us have been marked, marred and wounded by the aggressive Culture of sexual license which is pervasive in our world today.
This culture that has brought the thick addictive cloud of sexual immorality upon us, our families, our children’s schools and our society. Many among us have become lost and trapped in the choking clouds of co-habitation, fornication, adultery, pornography, sexual violence, prostitution and homosexual lifestyle.
And on the global stage the demand for Sexual and Reproductive rights is threatening to overshadow and drown out real human rights.
We see the rapid spread of this merciless culture as it claims men and women, young and old, rich and poor, it wants everyone and it tarnishes everything.
Today we shed tears for the these innumerable men and women who are caught in this cloud, that through the powerful intercession of Saint Josephine Bakhita they will find their way to the freedom and fulfilment that only God can give.
Prayer:
?St. Josephine Bakhita, you were sold into slavery as a child and endured untold hardship and suffering. Once liberated from your physical enslavement, you found true redemption in your encounter with Christ and his Church.
O St. Josephine Bakhita, assist all those who are trapped in a state of slavery; intercede with God on their behalf so that they will be released from their chains of captivity.
Those whom man enslaves, let God set free.
Provide comfort to survivors of slavery and let them look to you as an example of hope and faith. Help all survivors find healing from their wounds.
