Day 1 (January 31st) Novena

Intention:
For the liberation of all those who have been ensnared and enslaved by the Culture of Abortion
For:
– All misguided men and women who have been shackled by the lies and empty promises of abortion
-All healthcare workers who are trapped in the abortion industry
-All radical politicians, academicians, lawyers, lobbyists and journalists who have committed and sold themselves to the promotion and protection of abortion rights

Reflection:
Within the Culture of Abortion there is no freedom, no mercy, no tenderness, no true love and no real liberty, there is only torture, tyranny, pain, oppression, depression and death. And many of those who embrace this culture swiftly become slaves. They become bound, branded and shackled by it. The peace it promises soon becomes pain, the privacy it promises soon becomes silent torment, the dream life it promises soon becomes nightmare, the success it promises soon becomes hollow, the wealth it promises soon becomes a noose around the neck of those who accept it.

As we continue to fight this ruthless and totalitarian culture, we cannot forget or leave anyone behind its bars for there is always hope and help with persistent intercessions and prayers to God Almighty who wants us all to live in His freedom.
Today, let us pray for the help and intercession of  Saint Josephine Bakhita whom Blessed John Paul II described as a shining advocate of genuine emancipation.
Prayer:

?St. Josephine Bakhita, you were sold into slavery as a child and endured untold hardship and suffering. Once liberated from your physical enslavement, you found true redemption in your encounter with Christ and his Church.
O St. Josephine Bakhita, assist all those who are trapped in a state of slavery; intercede with God on their behalf so that they will be released from their chains of captivity.
Those whom man enslaves, let God set free.
Provide comfort to survivors of slavery and let them look to you as an example of hope and faith. Help all survivors find healing from their wounds.
We ask for your prayers and intercessions for those enslaved among us.
Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now,
and ever shall be, world without end.  Amen.
